Client Stories

Notes from OTC desks that used Crypto Portfolio Desktop for exposure monitoring and settlement tracking.

We finally saw pending USDT and KRW legs on the same board. Mapping older counterparty aliases took longer than we hoped, but the morning check stopped being a spreadsheet hunt.

— Min-jae K., OTC broker, Seoul · Exposure Monitoring

Settlement tracking caught a delayed fiat wire that would have left us long overnight. The review call was blunt about our gaps, which we needed more than soft praise.

— Elena R., desk lead · Settlement Tracking Review

Onboarding kept our new hire from inventing her own wallet labels in the first week. The playbook is short enough that people actually open it.

— Ji-hoon S., ops coordinator · Broker Desk Onboarding

Desktop views are clear once counterparties are clean. I still wish the first data import had been faster — we spent an afternoon fixing ticket export formats before the workshop.

— Ana P., junior trader · Exposure Monitoring

Case note: mid-size desk, mixed KRW and USDT

A six-person OTC desk near Gangnam asked for exposure monitoring after two near-miss overnight positions. We spent the first week on naming only — three counterparties had been entered under different spellings. Once Crypto Portfolio Desktop showed a single open notional per name, the desk lead shortened the morning call from twenty minutes to under ten. Settlement tracking was added later when a bank cutoff change left several wires unmarked.

Constraint we could not remove: their bank still reports wires with a one-day lag. We documented that lag in the status board so traders would not treat “pending bank” as “missing crypto.”

Case note: remote onboarding for a Busan satellite desk

Two traders joined a Busan satellite office without shared labels. A half-day video workshop plus the playbook aligned them with Seoul’s counterparty list. They still call Incheon when a new market maker appears, which is expected — onboarding sets the rules; it does not replace judgment on unfamiliar names.
